Join us for a night of classic love songs and ballads. The Napa Valley Duo (Terry Winn, pianist; Jeffrey McFarland Johnson, cellist) will charm us with romantic medleys of Rodgers & Hammerstein, George & Ira Gershwin, Irving Berlin and others. Vocalist Cynthia Ermshar will perform selections from "South Pacific," "My Fair Lady" and other classic tunes that we’ve all grown to love. *Chocolates and refreshments served at intermission. This is sure to be some enchanted evening!

In celebration of Women’s History Month, we will pay tribute to Female Film Directors from the silent era to today. From Alice Guy-Blache 1896-1906 (Gaumont Studios), to Katherine Bigelow, (First Female Directing Oscar 2008), we’’ll explore the mostly forgotten history of women in the director’s chair. Join us for an afternoon of film clips, biographic notes, stills, taped interviews, anecdotes, and lecture by David Garden Jr.

The Chamber Choir tour of Napa Valley and San Francisco  will include madrigals and folksongs, as well as creative arrangements of recent popular music. Enjoy the great acoustics of the White Barn as the many and varied voices fill it the with the joy of song! The choir is under the direction of Dr. Jerry Ulrich, Director of Choral Activities at Georgia Tech.

In celebration of National Poetry Month, the WB presents the poetry of Antonio Machado, Federico García Lorca, and Pablo Neruda by Michael Caldarola, Theresa Whitehill, and Paulo Ferreira. The work will be read in English translation with selections in the original Spanish.

To accompany the poetry, cellist Jeffrey McFarland-Johnson will perform “Lorca Musica per cello solo,” a fantasia composed by Geoffrey Gordon after themes from Lorca’s play, “The House of Bernarda Alba.”

Please join us for an afternoon of poetry, music & tea.

Join us on the White Barn lawn as the St. Helena Community Band performs a family-friendly concert of American standards that will usher in the good ol' summertime. Bring blankets and low-back lawn chairs. The White Barn will provide lemonade and popcorn, and the band will offer an instrument petting zoo for kids. Free fun for the whole family!

The lives of turn-of-the 20th century dueling opera divas Luisa Tetrazzini, Eva Tetrazzini, and Nellie Melba will pique your curiosity. Narrated by Michael Caldarola, the program will feature vocalists Meghan Scheibal, Lisa Austin Frisque, and Erica Austin.

Despite the fires that have devastated our region, the White Barn is still standing. This Sunday's performance at 3 p.m. will go on as planned, and all proceeds will benefit victims of the Napa Valley fires. Delight in a brilliant classical guitar performance by Joe Galambos, bay area guitarist recognized for his technical ability and colorful lyricism. Playing in the tradition of Andrés Segovia, Joe will be covering composers spanning traditional Spanish guitar to Latin jazz, contemporary classical to works from the Asian continent. With intelligence, warmth and charm, Joe creates a memorable rapport with his audience and has been a regular sell-out at The White Barn.
